Mar 23 2010
Back in December last year Italian Silvia Rizzo was for the first time by Helgstrand Dressage, to try the 9-year-old gold medal mare Donna Silver.
Tomorrow Donna Silver will be on her way to Münster in Germany, initially to be Silvia Rizzo's new small-tour horse. The future goal for the new equipage is that Silvia would like to compete Donna Silver in small-tour in Aachen this year.
Silvia Rizzo is very pleased with her new horse, and tells that Donna Silver already doing all for the Grand Prix, so it has not been a problem that things have taken a little time, because she felt super comfortable by Andreas Helgstrand continueing the work with Donna Silver the last few months.
Silvia Rizzo's partner Michele Betti is her daily trainer, and alongside is also the Danish national coach Rudolph Zeilinger the sharp eyes from the ground.
Donna Silver is by Blue Hors Don Schufro/Willemoes. She was as a youngster ridden by Nikolai Kowalski where Bettina Laisbo took over after Berith Nielsen had acquired her at the Danish warmblood auction back in 2006.
The pair Donna Silver and Bettina Laisbo were champions for 5 year-old horses in Denmark. Year after a 2nd place in the finals for the 6 year-old horses.
Last year 2009 were Donna Silver and Bettina Laisbo to start at 4 competitions and had no less than 8 placement - the latest start was at the competition at Broholm in July where the combination, among other things won Prix Sct. Georg by 71%.
Right now the big goal for Silvia Rizzo is to prepare for the final selection for the up-coming World Equestrian Games in Kentucky with her 16-year-old Grand Prix horse Donnerbube II by Donnerhall. Next start of combinations is scheduled to be in French Saumur in late April.
